This site is part of the hill that borders all of the North of Nusa Penida from East to West.
Pura PED is located on the North West side of Nusa Penida, opposite the village of the same name. 20 minutes by boat from Nusa Lembongan is all that is needed to join Pura PED. Do not forget to look out to the north when you find yourself on the boat to admire the mount Agung hiding in the clouds.
You will see the whole family of pufferfish here, notably the giant pufferfish mesuring more than 1 meter long. You will not be able to miss the Angel fish, scorpion fish, box fish, clown fish, bat fish, nudibrachs, mantis shrimp and many more.
Hard and soft coral spread out further than the eye can see along this hill. Other corals have invaded the rocks in the 12 meter zone.
The site starts at 3-4 meters at the top of the hill that borders all the north of Nusa Penida and goes down to...very deep.
Kind of diving
We prefer to dive at Pura PED in high tide to avoid having too much current for beginner divers, and simply to have the time to find the smaller species.
This site is for everybody! Dive at the right moment during the tide, and the current is very weak or absent. The divers fond of drift diving will also find all they need if we dive during low tide!
